This is a list of some of the finest top 5 modern progressive rock bands that you must listen to in 2015. Although this list is not ranked, this is a just a top five list of modern prog rock bands that everyone must listen to.
Prog Rock has been through many cultural changes over the decades, but thankfully, beautiful and artful music is still being created in many parts of the world. It only goes to show that the spirit of musical exploration continues to thrive.
So without further ado, here is a list of 5 brilliant artists,
Influenced by bands like Rush, Pink Floyd, Camel, Yes, Led Zeppelin, Genesis and more, the sound from Fatal Fusion is absolutely fantastic and feels like it is fresh out of the late 70s. If these guys were actually in the 70s, it would sound right out of the bat. This track (and all their other work) is a fantastic recreation of the classic prog rock sound of the 70s and a homage to the great prog bands that we love and respect.
The release of their debut album Land of the Sun in 2010 received great reviews from around the world, and also got them nominated for best debut album 2010 by Prog Awards.

2. And There Stand Empires
I just discovered these guys and this is definitely going into the list of my top discoveries this year. From Tulsa, Oklahoma, And There Stand Empires is a 5-man creative machine chugging out brilliantly arranged musical journeys that I simply cannot believe I'm journeying! This band reminds me of everything beautiful about my years of listening to music and yet tells me that there is something familiar yet unexplored to be heard.
A must listen!

5.Tiger Moth Tales
Tiger Moth Tales is the project by a Nottinghamshire based musician and writer Peter Jones. At the tender age of 15 months, Peter lost his eyesight due to a rare retinal cancer Retinoblastoma. Loss of sight certainly didn't stop Peter from getting grade 8 in piano and the recorder.
Tigers in the Butter is taken from his 2014 release Cocoon.

One of the finest places to discover great music was Grooveshark, but unfortunately, after it was forced to shut down, the only brilliant place seems to be Bandcamp.
This is of course by no means comprehensive list at all, but just a glimpse into the beautiful world of modern progressive rock. There are fantastic bands and musicians here who deserve to be listened to.
